Hair Loss Shampoos

Every year billions of pounds are spent by people who hope to prevent or repair the effects of hair loss.  However, a large majority of hair loss products are actually ineffective and are instead aimed at preying on people’s vulnerability.  For this reason, when it comes to choosing hair loss shampoos it pays to be prudent.

Hair loss shampoos can help reverse the effects of hair loss depending on how severe the hair loss is, and how much hair has already been lost when the shampoos are added to a person’s daily routine.  The most important factor in choosing a hair loss shampoo however, is the active ingredient of the shampoo.

Due to the fact that DHT is currently thought to be the biggest cause of hair loss, shampoos that contain ingredients such as botanicals that neutralize the DHT in the hair follicle are generally thought to be the best choice for treating hair loss.

One of these ingredients is thymus peptides.  Thymus peptides are able to penetrate into the hair follicle and then unclog the pores in the follicle so that new hair growth can be initialized.

If the correct hair loss shampoo with the proper ingredients is used on a daily basis in the shower, you can expect to see hair loss start to reduce within the first week of use.  With daily use on an ongoing basis that continues methodically you may begin to notice that hair growth begins again in as little as under a month.

However, even with the right ingredients not all hair loss shampoos hold the answer for everyone, as clinical studies have shown that some DHT treated shampoos fail to produce results for about 30% of men and 5% of women, at which point shampoo that thickens the remaining hair may be the better choice.
